Food & Drink
A scone on arrival, breakfast worth getting up for, and a quiet start before you head out into Killarney.
Arrival: a fresh scone and tea, every guest, always. It's a small thing, and it's the first thing. Killarney town is close enough to walk to, with plenty of places to explore for lunch, dinner and drinks.
Breakfast
Served to you, not left in a jug
Irish, nourishing, done properly.
Included when you book direct. Smoked salmon, perfect eggs, warm brown bread, a bircher bowl, stewed fruits, coffee poured for you rather than self-service. The full Irish is on the menu for anyone who wants the whole thing, and so is a cheese omelette or scrambled eggs with smoked salmon if you'd rather something lighter.

The room
Ground floor, same point of view
The breakfast room carries a softer version of the wallpaper you'll find upstairs, botanical rather than tropical, with mustard velvet banquette seating and brass fittings. It sits alongside reception, the ground floor being the part of the building that never quite goes quiet.
Not self-service, and not unlimited for the sake of it. A short menu, brought to your table, with coffee kept topped up.
Breakfast, without the buffet queue.
